At my employed grocery store one day, I was once asked to help carry a shopper’s trolley to their car; was mostly beer (I think it was fifteen cases’ worth).

I’m surprised they had enough money to buy that much beer.

Is it paid for?

Did he shoplift it? There are no returns on alcohol here in California…

But Flo, its on discount and it’ll keep him home out of the Pub.

I do believe that Flo has been know to have a “few” beers in her time. This is something she and Andy can share.

Why is beer XXX-rated?

They’re out the door; isn’t already paid for?

How did he get it out the door without being stopped for shoplifting? Flo can’t have paid for it if she’s telling him to put it back.

If he’s left the shop without paying, they’ll soon be put back.

Buying in bulk is supposed to be cost effective!

That must be some really bad beer the Budget Store is glad to get rid of. They do not mind Andy walking out with a cartful without paying.

One of my favorite Andy classics involved Andy attempting to roll a barrel of (possibly beer, possibly whiskey. or possibly plutonium) into their flat. Flo was pushing back. Andy called for vital assistance: “Chalkie!” Flo countered by calling for even more vital assistance: “Ruby!” As the foursome (two pushing for, two pushing against) struggled, Flo commented, “I don’t hold out much hope for East and West.”

A new brand, Tres Equis?

Shopping carts around here have a gizmo on one of the wheels that locks up once one goes beyond the parking lot.

Wait a minute Flo, not so fast. With that much beer around the house, he’ll probably stay home more. OK, now that I think about it, PUT THAT BACK!

Way cheaper than drinking in the pub.

At least this way, Andy won’t be going around hassling people for beer money. (At least not for a while, depending on how long the beer lasts.)

It’s a bit late for that, Flo.
