Some flowers choke out surrounding plants. Trees are worse. Some drop toxic leaves to clear the ground.
Those are some weird looking eyes.
There are many examples of flowers competing for pollination services, nutrients and light
Actually, the world of Plants is extremely Vicious. We just don’t See because they move so slowly.
But, look at the way so many plants Strangle or Poison each other.
But, these are examples of competing for resources. Not a competition in resulting display. They may compete to draw pollinators, but that is a different thing.
