I wouldn’t mind it so much if they didn’t bring the chipmunks into the house to chase them around….Fun for the cat’s, but bad for anything standing upright…..And chipmunks don’t break as quickly as mice…..
Again, I’m appealing to the fantastic Arlo and Janis analysts to explain the Mother Goose & Grimm strip today:http://www.seattlepi.com/comics-and-games/fun/Mgoose/ Why would Gatorade melt the coach?
BTW, I should think that Luddie’s ears would be laid back, after his plaything was taken away!
Cats are not the only pets that play with other living things. I Florida we have small brown and black spiders that are about the size of a dime. My Yorkie loves to catch one and hit straight down with his paw. The spider curls up for a few seconds then starts walking. The Yorkie hits it again and the cycle repeats until the spider is dead. The the Yotkie gets the saddest, confused look because the spider will not play any more. Does not eat them though. When they stop moving he loses interest.
Cat I had when I was about 15, friends came over and we were on the back patio. Cat catches a field mouse in the grass next to us, plays with it, plays with it, plays with it. We’re all watching, sort of. Then all of a sudden it rolls over on its back, bats at the mouse in the air, catches it in its mouth and chomp, chomp. A nice (en)grossing moment
This is a comment on the new format of the My Comics page in general, not on just this strip. Basically, I hate it. I liked the former layout where I could just scroll down to view all of my comics at a glance. Having to click to move them takes a lot longer, is choppier and the page is now filled with annoying advertisements that I’m not interested in.

It may not be humane, but it is feline.

That’s just like my barn cat. After a few dozen releases the chipmunk’s rear legs no longer worked, than it lost its head.

Cat is as cat does. These felines are cold blooded killers. Just their way.

Cats should be indoor cats. They would live longer and we would have fewer songbirds on the endangered list. Seriously.
