You paid for speed, wouldn't that be great?
Instead, ads load while you wait and wait,
But cease to dig, you're in a hole!
Don't try to force that page to scroll!
I surf Firefox, and the other day I downloaded AdBlock Plus from the Mozilla website. I got an amazing result, esp on gocomics.com. I no longer go for coffee while waiting for downloads.
If we would look at the economics the more ads that show up the more gocomics get paid for the advertising space. At least that is how I think it works.
Thanks frumdebang for the adblock plus suggestion. What a difference. I couldn’t read boston.com because of all the ads. They blamed it on my old version of firefox when I wrote them. Problem was, my firefox is current as is IE.. I also installed flashblock to as those ads cover up gocomics strips.
I guessed it was in the style of Ogden Nash. BTW, beymly, there are new Burma Shave signs along a portion of old Rt 66 near Seligman, AZ… I presume there are others elsewhere along he old Mother Road.

I get lots of pop-up ads when I’m home in northern Maine reading GoComics. This week I’m in Cape Breton….no pop up ads at all!

Signing up for GoComics Pro stops non-GoComics ads. If anyone already mentioned that, I missed it.

There is only one answer: Adblock. Adblock. ADBLOCK PLUS.
