We’re having the same, years-long conversation.

Better idea – get all of Gene junk and move it to his farm, and add anything in storage he wants to clear the house. Than start weeding out the junk and clutter. What is left will need serious debate on.

My wife and I are moving to Myrtle Beach SC full time very soon. We have had a seasonal place for 9 years. No hesitation on our part. :)

wyoman, keep all your stuff in both homes….It’s comforting to have things… Somebody will sort it out after you go….Don’t worry about it….

For every proverb that tells you to do something, there is an antiproverb that says don’t. Just another expression of free will.

Arlo is happy wherever Janis is. If it’s somewhere else, so be it. Janis does not feel the same way. That house is where she loved her husband and raised and nurtured her son. Too much sentimental value for her. She ain’t leaving…until she changes her mind. She is a woman after all.

comicsssfan beat me to it re: mentioning the sailboat. I love the strip but I sure wish we’d find out what’s up with the boat! I recall that Gene got it all refurbished and almost good as new before A&J took possession of it. I hate to think of it still sitting at the dock, neglected and deteriorating. After all, wasn’t a sailboat (and sailing away on it) always one of Arlo’s most cherished fantasies?
