The kids must be dead to them. No grandchild, no call, nothing.

Musicians’ Christmas tradition: Play for services/Masses, then go out for Chinese before a nice long nap.

I would LOVE some Chinese food today, since my local is open (I know the owner)… however, we will likely also include our usual Italian dinner as well: lasagna. I can’t lose either way (yes, weight-wise too)…

I thought that I was making reservations at the China Dynasty, one of the better-known Chinese restaurants in Columbus. I found out late last night that I had inadvertently called the China Dynasty on 161.

Yelp gives it a slightly better rating. We’ll see. This might turn out to be more interesting and memorable than the movie’s restaurant.

    And Merry Christmas to all!

    Christmas alone again? Sad.

Early Christmas morning it’s OK but by 10 o’clock the place needs to be busting with children and grandchildren.

That does sound good! There’s a Chinese place up the street that does crazy good business on Christmas night.

A few years back my wife was in the hospital on Christmas and I spent a lot of time there with her. When I finally left there were no restaurants open and I actually did end up at a Chinese restaurant. No one sang to me though.

We took my mother-in-law out for Chinese law night (Christmas eve) and the place was packed. Busier than we’ve ever seen it.

We were at a family members home for traditional Christmas Eve repast and today I will be doing a turkey dinner with all the fixin’s for 6 people tonight. Christmas is a family meal tradition. Not ‘go’ food.

That was a family tradition for my family back in the 1950’s.

We lived in Glendale, California, and the Chinese restaurant we went to every Christmas day was on North Orange St.

I would swear in a court of law that it looked exactly like the one in the movie “Christmas Story”.

Chinese places are always open on Christmas; my wife and I discovered that years ago.
