Just because you got them cheap doesn’t mean you have to give them away.
We once got a good deal on tuna. My beloved fed it to the cats under the concept that it would save her from having to buy cat food. Soon we needed to buy tuna. I love her so explaining the error in thinking would just upset her, so I never did. What was done was done.
After sticking with this strip 30+ years, I’m patient. This and BC are really the only multi-frame cartoons with recurring characters that is still fresh and not in “re-play”. We should be pretty happy that Mr.Johnson thinks enough of us to keep up the strip…rather than doing what most of us would and using some of the dough we stowed away and kicking-back.

I have trouble telling the characters apart unless the dialog gives me a clue.

It’s the value of the gift, not the amount spent on it.

I like this story. So far it’s sweet that they were able to get her some nice pots at a reasonable price. Go with the flow!
