I’ve learned to take people as they are. I used to get upset with some people because they were unreliable: they rarely showed up on time or did what they say they will do. Now that I reset my expectations of them, I can enjoy their company.
Most of my friends are what many people would call weird. I like them that way. I find it disappointing when I am not the weirdest person in the room.
Let’s get real, Aunty: I don’t expect everybody to CARE about me. The great majority of folks can treat me with civil indifference. I have acquaintances—lots of them- and far fewer true friends. Those few friends have NEVER let me down, nor I them. . .so, the question becomes: what does it mean to CARE and how many people should I CARE about, starting with harry and megan. . .thanks for letting me share/rant. Isn’t it nice that this is a public forum and you don’t have to read my . . .stuff???? Have a GREAT day! ;)

Good advice. Similarly true with my daughter’s observation that “When people show you who they are, believe them.”
