You can argue on any topic you feel like arguing about. When my husband was alive, our main argument was money (or the lack thereof). Once we got financially stable, the arguments miraculously stopped.
My wife and I haven’t had an argument in nearly 43 years. We know people whose marriages are a battleground and I do not understand how they can I’ve like that.
My ex could have major arguments all by himself. I could leave, go for a drive, and return and he would still be arguing. Any wonders why he is an ex? He wasn’t like that earlier in our relationship. It started several years after marriage and continued for the remainder of it. It wasn’t arguments about anything in particular, either. His personality changed, he didn’t want therapy, and wasn’t willing to go to marriage counseling. I couldn’t take any more of that kind of stress.
When my husband is outside with the cat, or doing most anything, actually, I see his lips moving, and I know he’s thinking out loud! When he comes in, I ask him, “Did the meeting go well?” He now understands that since I first used it! :D
My wife and I have been married over 45 years and still very much in love. We have never had an argument. We have not always agreed on everything but have yet to find anything worth arguing about.

We were like that our first five years. Now, we never argue. Ever.

I hate when I have to tell him he’s saying the same thing in a different way. He just likes to argue and I don’t.

My wife and I share the same values. In our early marriage we would have arguments and clarify and confirm until we wound up in violent agreement.

That’ll happen when you’re naturally disagreeable.

A friend of mine once told me that he would never had known he had any faults had he not gotten married.
