I read that playgrounds at places like this are just crawling with germs. Yeah but it keeps the kids busy so the parents can eat. The food is loaded with fat, salt and sugar. Mmmmm... Taste good! And these fast food corporations only offer part-time minimum-wage jobs with no benefits! So we can afford to come here more often. Goodbye conscience, hello convenience. Plus... Action figures!
Those part-time, minimum wage jobs are a way for people to get their “foot in the door” of the job market. Unless you can get into management, they’re never going to be able to pay any sort of a living wage. Forcing those kind of places to pay a teen $20 per hour or more will drive the food prices higher because a typical worker can’t generate enough income per hour to offset his wages and the other costs of doing business.
