This says that the average woman gains 26-1/2 pounds during pregnancy. 7-1/2 pounds is baby, 1-1/2 pounds is placenta, 1-3/4 pounds is amniotic fluid, 2 pounds is uterine enlargement, one pound is maternal breast tissue, 2-3/4 pounds is maternal blood volume, and 3 pounds is water. That only adds up to 19-1/2 pounds. Where does the other 7 pounds come from? It varies from woman to woman. In my case, it would be Triple Fudge Brownie Ripple.
At least she’s accepting it’s her own doing. Unlike this morbidly obese jerk I know who get Arby’s AND Burger King for lunch every day, and then blames Arby’s and Burger King for his weight gain.
