It’s good they both said “a while,” which is an indefinite period of time, depending on the context.
If they had said “in a jiffy,” however, they would be referring to an actual unit of time. A jiffy, as defined by physical chemist Gilbert Lewis (1875-1946) is “the time it takes for light to travel one centimeter in a vacuum (about 33.3564 picoseconds).” That’s fast!
Lewis also coined the word “photon.”
