A farmer sold a mule to his neighbor, assuring him it was a good plowing mule.
The next day he paid a visit to the neighbor. “How’s the mule working out?”
“Terrible!” said the neighbor. “You said it was a good plowing mule, but I can’t get it to do anything. It’s like it doesn’t even hear me.”
The farmer pick up a heavy piece of wood and stood in front of the mule, then hit the mule squarely between the eyes. The mule blinked, shook it’s head, and started pulling the plow.
“You see?” said the farmer. “You just have to get his attention first.”
