My husband and I 100% do this. We got one of our favorite cashiers a gift and card when she was moving on to a better job. We learn their names, which ones have children or pets… it brightens our day and theirs when it feels like you’re using that time to catch up with a friend :) Cathy and Cassandra, you’re missed, and we’re grateful for Karen and Darcy whenever we see them <3
