Missing game pieces huh. Hope Wanda and Darryl sort of checked Wrens dirty diapers for them. Happened with one of my daughters. Had a board game piece come up missing at the end of the game and found it in her diaper the next day. Did a lot better job keeping pieces away from the edge of the table where she could get them.
We used to do something like this when we were kids: we combined Monopoly, Rummy Royal, and a Stock game (with regular playing cards) that we made up (and maybe some others that I can’t recall for sure right now).

On the other end of the scale, my son and I had 2 complete sets of the game RISK
We invented interdimensional RISK, where you could attack a country on one world if you held it on the other world
It was brutal, time consuming, and fun
