I’m not sure that “full ride scholarship” is the one that should be whispered to Hammie.

Pell grants are for students from low-income families. Whether or not she gets one depends on her parents, not on her. What he wants from Zoe is some sort of merit scholarship.

Hammie won’t be going to college, he’ll be headed to prison.

I worked my way through part of college as did all three of my daughters. Like buying your first car, you appreciate it more and work hard to take care of it.

Trade school for all of them. That’s where the need and the money are.
