If he knows which way is north, he can go find Santa Claus, and Santa can take him back home.

I never worried about getting lost even before GPS. If I was driving in an unfamiliar place, I read a map. If I was closer to home, I figured I would come to a place I knew, or a sign pointing me to a place I knew.

Navigation is only important if you care about where you are going.

It is unusual for Johnny Hart to remind me of Charles Williams, but this punch line reminded me of “Descent into Hell”. “He looked at Sir Aston and thought, not ‘He was wrong in his facts’, but ‘I’ve been cheated’. It was his last consecutive thought.”
