Crunch time

Who knew? Turtles even jump slowly.

Contrary to the fable of the hare and the tortise, the race does not always go to the slow but steady.

It’s an ill wind……

Oops. I’m thinking with a little Bondo rubbing compound and some, ummm, Turtle Wax, that shell will be as good as new.

Another dream crashed. Life happens.

Gringe? I always thought that was an industrial strength cringe.

Lol! A leap of faith, gone wrong!

A shattering experience all around it appears.

The Wind wanted that leaf pile all to itself! ☺

Don’t worry that will buff right out. Maybe a little duck tape?

It could also have had a rake hidden in it. Pile jumpers should only jump piles that they have assembled themselves.

It happens more often than you think. I found the head of a rake in a pile of woodchips dumped on the other side of the street. No one would deliberately put a rake through a chipper.

Is a gringe worse than a trund?

Yesterday’s strip was from January 7, 1966. Today’s is from October 29, 1967. Maybe if they keep skipping some we will eventually have them on the corresponding date? Having Christmas and New Year’s appear in summer has always been odd. “Wizard of Id” classics have always had the correct date, so it is something that could have been done.

Looks like half Humpty Dumpty, no yolk tho…
