I’ve watched people approach a bench or other object which has a sign stating “Wet Paint.” First thing they do is touch it to see if it’s dry. Saw one guy touch a bench with a wet paint sign on it, touch it, decided it was dry then sat on it. The paint wasn’t completely dry and got on his clothes. He marched into the store and complained, wanting the store to replace his clothing.
The dingbat thought the bench should have been taped off and been barricaded so he couldn’t have gotten to the bench. The manager told him the bench was posted and that he wasn’t responsible for protecting the guy from his own stupidity, then ejected him from the store.
The hours of operation for the bank are posted beside the door. More than once while we were inside preparing for opening, the following took place. Person pulls on the door. It doesn’t open. Person pulls on the door again, just in case. Person peers through the door. Finally, person reads the sign, checks watch or phone, and walks away.

I’m wondering if someone has tried a gag where the “Wet Paint” sign it self was wet with paint? That would worth of a video! ;-p

“I wonder what will happen if I push this button?”
“What happened?”
“A sign lit up saying, ‘Please don’t push this button again’.”

If the sign post is attached to the bottom of the top half of the sign, how does the bottom half swing neatly under the top half?
