And they probably aren’t eating something green. Unless it’s moldy.

A place full of bugs that bite… and stuff falling out of the sky called rain, or cold stuff called snow. Be happy where you are, where food and water is brought to you instead of you having to find it..

Buy regeneratively raised meat! It’s worth the cost difference for your health and that of the planet!

Sadly, most kids don’t want to take on the family dairy with enough land to turn the cows out between milkings. Especially, when the land becomes worth a lot of money due to urban growth in the area. Yeah, farmers love complaining about cities and urban encroachment, until they can sell their property for millions.

Use to drive by a small dairy farm and the cows would actually run up to the farmer when he went to the pasture to check on them. Those were happy cows.Talked to him a few times, he was on my delivery route. He had tried the medication route and though it yielded more milk, proved not to be actually cost effective, and even problematic. So, was in the process of becoming certified non hormone, antibiotic, etc. This was quite a long time ago now. His kids wanted him to sell and retire, but he loved doing it and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

I haven’t “willfully” eaten beef, dairy or poultry in about 20 yrs. I won’t tell a friend/family how to cook when I’m visiting their home. Most of the meat I’ve consumed were wild game (boar, venison, duck, pheasant) or free range bison from ranches I’ve visited. I won’t go vegetarian, (I like the taste) but I won’t willingly contribute to the factory farm concept.
