I originally read that last panel as “100 m bands”, and thought that just a single million would be plenty to cause havoc with.

The complexity of the characters’ feelings that Allison manages here in just a few panels — resentment, embarrassment, guilt, sympathy, and love — is really quite remarkable. Well done!

A bread knife to slice an orange? Humphrey, dear…a chef’s knife would work better.

Humphrey’s art work goes well with Lottie’s poem. Apparently everyone in this group feels that space is the place!

Loom bands are a powerful creative force. In a more innocent time kids would make the looms from cigar boxes.

Okay, probably showing my age here but I had to look up loom bands. How many new things is John Allison going to make me learn just to keep up with a dang web comic?!? (Skin Horse is the only other comic that even comes close to his deviousness.)

    “Dishwasher salt”

“Dishwasher salt is a particular grade of granulated, crystalline sodium chloride intended for regenerating the water softener circuit of household or industrial dishwashers. Analogous to water softener salt, dishwasher salt regenerates ion exchange resins, expelling the therein trapped calcium and magnesium ions that characterize hard water.”

loom bands, noun [ plural ]

Small, colourful rings of plastic, rubber, or silicone that can be joined together to make bracelets (= pieces of jewellery worn around the wrist) or other items.

Rainbow Loom is a plastic tool used to weave colorful rubber and plastic bands into decorative items such as bracelets and charms. It was invented in 2010 by Cheong Choon Ng in Novi, Michigan.
