Last page of “Space is the Place”. The next story, “The Case of the Missing Piece”, will start Monday.
As originally posted, there was a week of interstitial strips between “Space is the Place” and “Missing Piece”. We’re going to see three of those here, combined into two pages, and not in the original order, but the others aren’t part of the GoComics run.
The missing strips continued this conversation, with Mildew deciding that maaaaybe dressing up as Lasagna Cat isn’t for her, and catching the other girls up on what’s been happening at Griswalds while they were away — which we’ll see in flashback anyway. Among other things, they established that “Missing Piece” overlaps “Space is the Place”, which isn’t made entirely clear by the published version. The first week or so of “Missing Piece” is a flashback covering events at Griswalds while Shauna and Lottie were in Wales.
I love this comic, and maybe it is just me, but that was a most unsatisfying ending. It started off in several directions, but each mostly just fizzled out. A fair amount happened, but either abruptly ended or is still hanging in the air. The point of the arc seemed to be mostly about the J’Accuse. Oh well.
