I’m not sure of course, but I think the last panel is suggesting this is a conversation taking place in many families, of all different kinds, right now. And that young people are of the “maybe not” persuasion — less polarized.

I don’t know but I suspect that many, many young people are embarrassed and confused by the racial, social/sexual, and political animus, dividing the generations of their parents and grandparents..
