It’s terrible having to raise your siblings. I had to do that and I was only 12 years old.
That is probably why I never had children. I knew what the problems were.
Lots of “changes”, and stinky ones at that.

My grandmother (at the turn of the last century) was the oldest of 8 siblings. Her father refused to let her go to high school because he wanted her to stay home and take care of her sibs. She moved out of state and got a factory job instead.
Lots of diapers if nothing else.
