    In school, I knew kids who were glad to get C’s in English (I was an A & B student in same). Couldn’t believe kids who did poor or failed their native tongue!!

    There is a real school near me called Las Milpas (the name of the neighborhood where the school is). “Milpa,” by the way, is a Mexican word for a corn field.
