I’m not sure if that’s dirt or if he over did it with the fertilizer.

I guess Ken lives in Northern California where we haven’t seen rain all February.

I hope Ken doesn’t have pets, or the garden will be all over the house by tomorrow.

The mold on the carpet should come in by early March.

Ken read an article last week, in that very paper,

that suggested a simpler life…. getting back to our roots… might make us happier.

He doesn’t know too much about his roots, or whether he has any….

    but vegetables do, right?

Obviously, he doesn’t know too much about vegetables or their roots either….

but when those tomatoes are ripe, and that corn is, as he has heard some place, as high as an elephant’s eye…

which he hopes is not taller than his ceilings….

he figures he’ll be happy anyway.

    Briefly… from yesterday…

Rose, I see you got here before me…. I was going to tell you I answered you (again) yesterday, in re autocorrect.

And Therapy Pets…. No, Linguist isn’t Jerry. Presumably he meant the humor in his comments, not his cartoons.

    Right, Ling?

Anyway… GoComics computers seem to occasionally change an avatar for no reason… the zoom goes in or out, or it centers in a different spot.

I wanted to suggest that you upload it again, as if you were changing to a different picture, but use the same one, to see if it fixes the problem.

    And…. Hi Dry!

My tomatoes are about a foot high already and it will be another month before I can put them outside.

Ken has a hydroponic green house in the back of his home, but he’s not growing vegetables in it – he’s growing weed(s) !

( For medicinal purposes, of course ! )

My orchids have bloomed for the second time in six months, as has the 1 foot high hibiscus with 7inch flowers! Just on the window sill and get no special treatment.

Any one who feeds hummingbirds please take note. NEVER make your nectar with honey!!!! They get a fungal infection and it kills them!! 4 cups of water 1 cup of sugar. Boil it and let it cool while you are disinfecting your feeders. You can make it more concentrated in the winter to provide more energy for them. No need to put red food coloring in the solution.
