Walter begins every morning with Strauss’s “Also sprach Sarathustra” and then transitions to patriotic marches by John Phillip Sousa, followed by rousing Third Reich military marches.

Good grief! What’s the caffeine count in that coffee!!

Tipperary continues to “Tippeecanoe” — and tip many a teacup, too.

… along with Hazel to boot.

In a word, yes. It’s a matched set with the uniform. Hazel would be wise to clean out his closet.. tomorrow looks like a tarzan theme complete with a leopard skin thong.

Keep him on decaf until after breakfast.

Saturday mornings 0600. Dad would put on his marching band record at a high volume, grab a metal pot and spoon from the kitchen, and bang loudly and not in time with the music until the 4 of us were up. I am not a morning person. I agree with Frank & Ernest, “Get up at the crack of dawn, stuff the crack up and go back to bed.”

walter needs to curb his enthusiasm…

i always smile at all the folks who’re so hostile about the early a.m. we lived in a farming community where folks thought nothing of showing up at your door at 5:30 in the morn and i still wake up before 4 after all these years. it used to be self-defense; now it’s just habit… ☺
