I couldn’t stand Phil Collins, but compared to the highly synthetic, auto-tuned, carefully manufactured to appeal to the widest audience possible stuff we have today, he’s alright.

In fact, today’s “music” makes me appreciate the 90s crap so much, it’s unbelievable.

And I suspect his gullibility in regard to Alamo memorabilia has had a ruinous effect on his bank account.

Growing up I liked the Smothers Brothers. Years later after they retired I bought a car from one of them who had gone into autoracing and selling.

I actually relate to this one quite a bit. While Phil Collins was not my absolute FAVORITE musician…. I did/do greatly enjoy all facets of Genesis and also Collin’s solo career….. both seem of great quality to me. But, to my manner of thinking, there are so many great musicians and groups from the second half of the sixties through at least the first 1/2 of the 90s that how creative Genesis was can easily be lost.
