    Here in KS, our signs say “Keep Left” (although more often “Keep Right” but that doesn’t work as well for the comic.) It always makes me chuckle to see signs when I travel that are phrased differently than what I’m used to seeing at home.

    More likely, I think, to see “bear left” in the UK than here in the US. Of course, I don’t think I’ve ever seen “dead slow” as the speed that you would go where children are likely to be playing (as, in fact, they might in a cul-de-sac/dead-end street) in the US, whereas it at least used to be not uncommon in Commonwealth countries.
