My summer Sundays are great! We have Family Sunday School, which is always spirited and fun, followed by regular service, where I play tambourine for the worship team. After service is coffee hour, which is sometimes a full-blown luncheon, and is more like a party. Then, while my husband rests up for his 3rd shift job, my older daughter puts on the NASCAR race, and I get a lot of things done to get ready for the week. If there’s no race, my daughters and I may watch a movie. Later we all have a nice Sunday dinner.
Yes, they are, even if only because i have to get up at 4 in the morning, get everyone else in the car, and get to church early enough to print everything and tell everyone that the world isnt ending. ~Then i take a nap!
Yes, but I worship GOD on Sundays. Looks like Hart is just trying to ride on his dad’s name. Johnny Hart out-shined these strips by far. Sad he is gone.
It was funny to see this today of all Sundays. I could see a beautiful sunrise out the window this morning, so I got out for an early-morning walk (which I don’t usually do on Sunday). I took a walk to the woods (less than a mile from my house) and took a walk in the woods, with the sunrise shining through the trees and enjoying the fresh smell of the woods, and spent some time on the bridge that crosses the creek listening to the babbling water in the Sunday morning quiet. Now there’s still plenty of time for breakfast before leaving for Mass between 10:30-10:45.Sunday mornings are great!
Fair I will agree with, accurate maybe. Pure scientists still debate that.
I’ve been looking into the theories a lot recently and I find a disturbing number of discrepancies.
Look at Carbon Dating for example. It’s one of 16 different dating methods used today, not one of which can agree on a date. Improvements in the technology have increased the range it is “accurate” for from 50K years to 75k years. How is it that dinosaur fossils millions of years old, that still contain organic matter not those completely stone, can be dated by it then? Even worse is coal. Scientists would love to find a source of pure carbon that can’t be carbon dated to use as a control. All known sources of coal can be carbon dated though.
Check it out for yourself, the Internet is a wonderful research tool. Before you ask, my sources included professional journals and magazines ranging from Time to Science.
I used to get up before the sun on Sundays and drive down the Parkway to spend time at the beach. The water was great, the sun was great (provided one put on sunscreen), the boardwalk was great… Today it is raining here, but I am still enjoying my Sunday…don’t do ANY work on Sundays. Do my hobbies, mess around in the garden, enjoy good television shows and books (when it is raining), and just generally hanging around the house chillin’… ;)
Sunday is for worship, thanking God for our lives, the lovely earth He made for us, and preparing to try again to live the kind of life He would have us live.

That’s pretty much how I like to spend the weekend, regardless of the time of year. Unless it’s raining.

You’d get up P-O’d on Sunday mornings too because you’re still being drawn by Mastroianni and Hart, not the late Johnny Hart! Get over it, BC!
