I guess it’’s one of those things you either know or you don’t. I’m vaguely aware that there is some video game called Mario, but I never would have guessed that that’s what it was. I’ll assume that the people saying that know what they’re talking about. I was thinking some leak in the alternate reality of the comics.
Not a gamer…two days in a row I’m out of the loop on jokes that have references to gaming. I guess this is how getting old starts……you don’t get the jokes everyone is talking about. I think I’ll see if I can find some old Jack Benny reruns on the television.
I sure wish Ninetendo would stop playing around with Mario & give us a new Zelda they have been teasing us with for the last couple of years. Thanks Mason, this made my day!!
I’ve been a gamer for almost 30 years, but I must confess that Mario wasn’t my first thought. It was actually Minecraft. Because blocks in that game don’t obey the laws of gravity, except for sand and gravel.

This is an artefact in a Super Mario game. Super Mario happens to be a plumber…

If it had been a single block I probably would have gotten it, I’m a hair old for Mario Bros. (but not Donkey Kong) thanks for explaining it to me.

Naw, it’s Alien terrorists. They installed a Sun Block. Pay up, pitiful earth creatures, or we deny you sunshine. Buwahaha.

Yeah, I had no idea. I don’t think I’ve ever played a video game, at least not since my last game of Tail Gunner at an arcade in 1981.

If the bricks were more rectangular and colored correctly, it would have been easier to understand.

I played “Pong” once in a bar back in the early ’70s! It was around the corner from a pizza business I was considering purchasing.
Does this count?
