@dlkrueger33: We once went to church but left the turkey out on the table to “warm up”. That was back in the 50’s and we did not know about bacteria build-up on food. Anyway, when we got back home, the turkey was gone. Our dog had eaten the whole thing, leaving just a couple of bones. We kind of laughed about it and had all the sides for our meal that Sunday.
why? why does that movie appeal to people? I try to watch it every year, and every year it just leaves me cold and bitter. I don’t understand the appeal of a Christmas story at all. give me A Christmas Carol, Grinch or Christmas Vacation but please don’t make me sit through that terrible Christmas Story again.
….still do…. I saw it in the theater when it first came out. I was an awkward enough kid that it didn’t strike me as humor. I have never watched it since.
