Doubt that Ben can move that pebble by himself.

I have a heavy steel rod I use to pry rocks from the ground, but first I estimate the rock’s size by tapping it with the rod. If the rod rings and vibrates I know the rock is too big. If I can feel ground vibrations then I can remove the rock.

My parents house had a boulder in the basement, just a tiny bump not really noticeable; until they try to dig it up. They gave up the fight and decided to just cover it back up.

Once upon a time we lived in the English Lake District and this type of gardening was the norm. The difficulty was to find soil !
