Save get kept for that once a year when it gets really cold and it is the warmest coat I have ever had, some are kept for special occasions, others because they hold fond memories.

It’s very hard for me to get rid of the clothes I could wear when I thought I was overweight. If I ever get back in them, I’ll try not to complain!

The husband’s closet doesn’t come with the house.

Empty closet space requires shopping trips to eliminate the horror.

I think ALL women do this. As long as I still LIKE something, I’ll keep it, even if it doesn’t fit. I have clothes in everything from an XS to XL. You never know what’s gonna fit at any given time. LOL. --Not even to mention that one company’s XS is another company’s XL. No standard sizing!

Ben doesn’t even have a closet…he wears the same stuff all the time. It’s wash and wear and wear and wear and wear…

And she’ll finally lose that weight and gleefully pull open the closet door and realise that none of her “skinny clothes” are in style and she’ll buy more. That’s the way it always goes.

    Or so I’ve heard.

I still have some stuff from college (which I will NEVER fit in again) that I can’t bear to throw out, ’cuz it was the grooviest I ever dressed.

I have ruthlessly discarded everything I can no longer wear, and everything that is hopelessly out of date. The rest is a curious mixture of clothes I do wear and stuff I will wear to __________ (fill in the blank). Otherwise, I have to shop for something to wear to a wedding, funeral, etc.

I’ve maintained my weight since high school, so EVERYTHING always has and always will fit me. Drives my wife crazy though when I insist on keeping and wearing clothes that are 40 years old but still functional!

When my wife passed away 12 years ago, I invited a number of her friends to meet at the house and help themselves from her closet. What they didn’t take I donated to a local thrift shop.
