Is there anyone else out there who can’t use thumbs to text? I’ve tried it. It doesn’t work for me. I have to use voice recognition or else my index fingers.
There is an ad where a guy is texting while jaywalking and almost gets run over. Someone pulls him back before the car drives by. The narrator says “You can’t avoid accidents!!” What?! This is avoidable and NOT an accident but an “On Purpose”!!
I am more likely to notice things like pajamas pants being casual attire. Women are more graceful when wearing comfortable clothes, providing their gait isn’t thrown off by trying to caress a phone at the same time.
Generally when out either I am with husband by ourselves – in which case the use of cell phones is for Internet when we are discussing something and are not sure of a reference or other needed information.
When I am at my embroidery guild meeting I only take out the phone if I hear husband’s ringtone – which means he has a problem or he would not be bothering me.
If my phone rings at reenactment it will ring with a period appropriate ringer and since husband is no longer “Commander” of the unit I ignore it as I am no longer the contact person at events – the one exception is the Christmas Candlelights Nights event our unit does as husband is in charge of that event and gives my cell phone to contact us during the event for the other members if there is a problem.

I don’t text…ever. My smart phone is great for making phone calls. Remember those?

My sister in law runs a physical therapy clinic. She has told me with glee, “In 10 – 15 yrs all these people will be my clients for Carpal Tunnel.”

I went out with my daughters on Sunday for my youngest daughter’s birthday…no pictures, limited time on phones, we had fun living in the moment.

Yeah, being all thumbs was almost as bad as being the goat. Wat a minute . . .

The ability to use thumbs for typing is inversely related to the age of the user.
