My brother tried uninstalling Windows 10 from his computer and met disastrous results. I have learned over the years with computers to try your best to keep it simple, no fancy downloads. My Apple computer has only the basics and is running smooth. The computer I am using now gets a PC Cleaner program run once a week plus Microsoft Virus Scan. When we take care of our computers, they will take care of us and last longer.
Part of my shutdown procedure each night is to set a restore point in case everything goes south the next day. That has come in verrry handy a time or two.
I’m happy with Win 10. 3 computers, 2 of which upgraded like a breeze. Had trouble installing it on one computer but now that it’s there, it’s fine. I haven’t seen a BSoD in years. But then, I believe in maintenance.
While Windows 10 is not really giving me any problems, at the same time there is nothing in it that I think is so much “better” than Win7. One thing I do NOT like is the Auntomatic Updates…if there are going to be changes made to my Operating System, I’d rather have some input on when (or IF) they get installed. As it is, I have no idea at all just what is being changed at any given time.
My IPad is still on iOS6. There are a few things that don’t work well any more, I have to use the FB app instead of the website. The jigsaw puzzle app requires a higher level. Should I upgrade to iOS 10? Don’t want to lose pictures!
My wife upgraded to Window 10 and had to pay to go back. If she could get support, she’d still be using XP. i had to upgrade my Mac, and am still sorting out what I can and can’t do.
I had to jump through hoops backward and upside down to get NUM LOCK at startup when I caved to Win10. I felt that I had really beat the mad dog when they kindly gave me an upgrade overnight and I had to do the same stupid thing all over again. Just glad I found the solution.

I love new operating systems. I’m a computer consultant. I’m guaranteed steady business for months after a new operating system comes out!

Comcast and Microsoft have “improved” our computer system to the point I’m about to go back to pen and paper.

The word “gift” in several languages translates to English as “poison”.
