I don’t mind convoluted stories – the first, or even the 2nd time. It is when they come around the 10th or 11th time that I tune out, go away, or at least wish I was somewhere else. Telling him I have already heard that story doesn’t help. If he was a GOOD story teller, that would be different, but he is NOT.

My late hubby was known for his convoluted, boring tales…I never shut him down out of kindness….wish he and his boring stories were still here…
