For anybody wanting some superhero fiction, James Alan Gardner’s novels “All Those Explosions Were Someone Else’s Fault” and “They Promised Me the Gun Wasn’t Loaded” are excellent. Funny, and well thought out.

If I ever got superpowers, I’d want the ones that Jools got.

You want superpowers. Just look at teachers who keep their students safe. Forget cops. They wait til the shooting is over, THEN the arrest the shooter or take his body away.

Just don’t plan on exporting him. Few other countries have the problems you Americans have with school shootings.

He takes those school shooters out with horrendous force. It’s quite graphic.

At least dad is showing more interest in his work. Mom just mocks him.

Make your superhero a dad that stays in the house and raises the children

Go back a few generations. Schools had gun clubs. Guns were treated differently. Now look at how Law Enforcement has been treated like dirt. We no longer have enough police. And criminals are put right back out on the streets. Our problem goes way way way past gun control.

You don’t need superheroes, you just need to stop government, in so many places, from insisting that school staff be defenseless and disarmed. There are plenty of schools that allow and encourage their staff to be armed. They have existed that way for many years and not a single child has ever been shot at one of those schools.
