Nate should have used the bat on her. XD God, I hate that character. Wish Pierce would kill her off or something.

Seems to me like Pierce could have another adult stand up to the Teacher for her bad calls, in order to make the point that regardless of age or status, someone shouldn’t get away with cheating those who have little recourse against them.

This breaks my heart. How unfair.

Some folks get a little power and let it go to their heads. I remember a softball game where an ump called a ball that hit first base and bounced straight up in the air foul. And then immediately said that if anyone argued the call they would be ejected.

She clearly never heard of a warning. Wether or not she got the power to pull him out of the game for something like that he should have been given a warning first – imo. Seems somewhat clear that she isn´t fit to be in that role, and I do hope the arc continues through next week and doesn´t just stop here with his streak being broken. Because Godfrey may be a “good” teacher, but with stuff like this she does need to be put down a peg or two.

And ejecting someone from a Little League game is harsh. This is so bad.

I think when tomorrow’s Sunday comic comes out, I am going to be so mad at Lincoln if he doesn’t continue with this story on Monday. Who thinks this story should go on?

The real Little League World Series is going on right now and in my three years of watching, i’ve never seen someone get ejected.

Well, hopefully karma will go back to Godfrey here. This was a bad arc.

Don’t forget Nate had his streak on the line. Some other adult needs to stand up for Nate, she really does have it in for him. Sometimes in the class room he deserves it, but not always, but Nate needs to learn how to deal with this type of person, ’cause she is a real “type” of person he will deal with in his adult life.

Yesterday Commander Video provided a link to the strip in 2006 where Mrs. Godfrey had her latest child. We never heard from any of her children again maybe like the Titan Cronus, she consumes her offspring. Would definitely explain her physique.

She will be a lousy umpire for everyone. The next kid at bat will get shafted just like Nate did. Eventually it will all hit the fan and the coach will get involved.

There’s a fine line about being strict and just being an unfair a**hole, and Mrs. Godfrey just drove right through it.

Time for the fans to react. Not just “kill the umpire” chants , but mean, malicious taunting. She needs to be driven off the field in tears.

It’s a one-note character that ceased being funny a long time ago. You know you’ve beaten it into the ground when people would actively celebrate her demise. Completely unsympathetic character in any way at this point.

You won’t get anywhere arguing balls and strikes. But her strike zone is atrocious. A ball at the eyes is a strike!? She needs glasses.
