BIG NATE BECOMES A SUPERHERO: PART 4 (FORMERLY NEWFOUND ABILITIES)

Marty is outside, packing up for the trip to Mom’s house in Washington. Nate then comes outside, holding a lot of heavy stuff for the trip without any problem. He places it next to the car.

Nate: Ooh, man. Good thing I inherited my mom’s super strength. Otherwise, I would’ve been struggling carrying those!

Marty: Yeah. By the way, Ellen is in her room talking to someone. Can you tell her that we’re going on, um, a father-son bonding trip to the campsite?

Nate: Okay dad.

Nate walks up the stairs and knocks on Ellen’s door. No response. He knocks again. Still no response. He opens the door and sees Ellen on the phone, talking to one of her friends. She looks at Nate once she sees him, irritated.

Ellen: What do YOU want?

Nate: Um… Dad and I are, uh, going to a campsite for some father-son bonding.

Ellen: Fine with me.

Nate exits Ellen’s room and walks down the stairs to the outside. Marty has just finished putting the last suitcase into the car. They get into the car, start it up, and pull out of the driveway. It’s going to be a loooooooong ride to Mom’s.

Marty: So Nate, since your mom’s house is like, more than 2,000 miles away or something, we will be stopping the car at times to test out your superpowers. Is that okay?

Nate: Yep! Can’t wait to try them out!

PART 4 CONTINUED IN REPLIES

Keep trying Nate. Maybe take it in smaller steps. Grab a drink for yourself and a 2nd drink, and ask if any one of the young ladies would like one. Then talk with them a bit, and when one of them accepts your drink, they will in effect tell you who to dance with. (On a side note, for some of us here, “Sena Lott” would make a good name for an avatar.)

I’m at that stage and I know how to interact with males. This is how: annoy them how they annoy you and dance with them if they are nice. And hope nobody spreads rumors.
