big - Hey good breakfast array. I will have the blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries and iced coffee. Hey, visit more often. You have posted once or twice. You will find that we are a nice group here.
cleokaya I need one just about every morning. When you suffer from a sleep disorder (I have DSPS) It causes me lack of sleep so my body just doesn’t want to get up in the morning. DSPS means Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome. I have had this since I was a little boy. Of course maybe one of doctortoon’s nuclear coffee might work. Guess I’ll have to ask him.
Good morning everybody. I just got home so I’ll read my comics until I wake up in front of the computer. I hate when I do that.
Breakfast looks great. I would like to add a few cinnamon buns and some sliced fruit. I may just eat everything in sight. I didn’t have supper last night and didn’t feel like buying anything at work.
Hi Wolfbyte. I’ve enjoyed your posts on some of the other sites. The one time I tried any of Doc’s coffee, it melted my cup and was running off down the street, disolving everything in sight.
Welcome Mr Spock. Better prepare for unlimited illogic here.

Good morning and Happy Sunday. docT get everything back to normal at work?
Welcome to the new people - hope you enjoy the food and conversations.
I just saw on BBC America today it looks like they are having a John Barrowman marathon starting with his first Doctor Who appearance and then some other Doctor shows he’s been in (but I don’t see the one where he gets the ability to never die)
I like today’s strip. Yesterday I went to the chiro since it’s been a while. Luckily I didn’t sproing, but I did make all the other noises.
Dry - I actually have had great success with chiropractors. The only thing that annoys me is they want you to come in on a regular basis for adjustments and I will only go when I have an obvious need for their help. He will chastise me, which makes me not want to go.
okay im back home… jucie details to come… lol not. but you will here about it. but im about to head off to church. when i get back i have to go safe my frined from herself and beat her. lol then ill come back and tell you about my date. :D it was great. peace and love all bbl hugs
I really like my chiropractor. I found him when I was in a lot of pain with my back - was taking Advil several times a day to help. Went to a different one first who did help, but the office staff wasn’t organized so when I felt good enough I stopped going, but then the pain started. I went to this one what seemed like once a week for a while until the pain was gone. Now I just go back a few times a year for an adjustment and to hear his health theories. They are a little off the wall, but I bet one day they will be more mainstream.
Cleo I agree with your stand on chiro. My chiropractor has a good approach: he has patients mark off on their forms what method they prefer - regular visits, or like me: maintenance only. I go when I need it, and they don’t bug me about setting up regular appointments.

A lot of the stuff he has talked to me about, I do hear in other places, and just because it’s different doesn’t make it wrong.
My wife went to a chiropractor once that had her sit in a chair with a sort of electric coil that came down around her to “realign her body’s magnetic fields” we never went back to that one.
Then there’s the ones that get into the homeopathic stuff. Do the math on it, and there is at best a 1 in 10 chance that your dose may have a single molecule of the original substance, the rest is just water…

Sorry for the long leave without the explanation, but it was sudden again. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do for sure. I missed the comments back and forth for sure. I may have to go GENIUS this time.
Just checking in real quick I have to run ladywolf17 in to see the doctor now. For those who don’t know ladywolf17 broke her ankle last sunday during a pool party. The doctor wants to check on her swelling to see if it went down. She’ll be able to go back to work by monday if he gives her the ok sign so to speak.
Guess I’ll chime in about chiropractors, too. I believe, just as in any profession, there are the good ones, and then there are the quacks (and many in between).
Our chiropractor always takes x-rays at the initial visit, and whenever else it is warranted. My hubby has had neck problems for years, and the chiro has done a lot, but the deterioration of his disk got to the point, where he had to have surgery. But considering that it was about 20 years between his initial chiro adjustment and surgery, I think the chiro helped delay the surgery by a number of years.
Being the klutz that I am, I’ve done some things that moved things to where they shouldn’t be. Y’all remember just a couple months or so when I messed up my left hand? It was the chiropractor who straightened it out.
He usually wants me to come in every 2 weeks, unless I’m in bad shape, and then it is oftener. But since I live about 30 miles away, I only go in when I feel like it, and they don’t hassle me about it the next time I’m in.
I’m with DFrog though on many of those “natural” supplements many people (including chiros) push. I’m not saying they are harmful, but that they are overpriced, and their claims are dubious. I guess I’m one of those people who would like a double-blind experiment with the substances before I put much faith in them. Many times, they just seem like products for mult-level marketing, where making money is the prime object.
wolfbyte36 I am SO VERY sorry for you and your daughter’s loss!!
I lost my mother almost 4 years ago now, but she was 89, and lived a good long life, and it was expected.
Something like what you suffered is so tragic and all I can say is
* ((((((((((((wolfbyte and ladywolf))))))))))))))))))))))))))*
I have made a deposit into the Tribal bank as well. Nice to see you back Lonewolf.wolfbyte, I have seen both you and your daughter around the gocomics strips. Let her know that I am sorry for her injury and also sorry about you and your daughter losing your wife. I can’t even imagine what that would feel like.
Don’t you worry about us, we know that time heals all wounds even if it does leave a scar that is there as a constant reminder as to how precious life is.
We continue to move on and live our lives to the fullest each day.
ladywolf’s doctors appointment went well. The swelling went down and she was fitted with a new walking boot cast. and will be able to go back to work monday.
After being away from my own church for two weeks, I returned to find out that the church nurse who treated me when I fell by icing my elbow and putting a sling on my arm fell herself two weeks ago and broke BOTH elbows and her left wrist. Like me, she is left-handed.
Imagine trying to walk with TWO arms in a sling.
Now one arm is in a sling, and the other has a cast on it. She fell when dog who was tied up outside a grocery store ran in front of her and she trip on it’s leash.
Wolfbyte- My condolences to your daughter, and also to you both on your bereavement four years ago. Sudden deaths are the hardest in many ways.
DryCleoQuabbyMargeShika
Thank you all very much. I am so glad to be back. I hate being in a hospital. I couldn’t sneak my laptop in either. Two more bedsheets and I would of made an escape a day earlier.
I have been getting settled back in at home today, but I am extremely exhausted and think I am done for the day. They have me on a steroid called prednisone and it tires me out quickly.
((((((((((((Terry)))))))))))))) Hope you feel better tomr.
I kind of figured that’s where you were, and glad you’re home now! I hate hospitals as well, even though my mom was an RN all her life, back in the day when you knew who the RN’s were, but spent WAY TOO MUCH time in them when her health began to decline! Many many hours, and it’s scary, I knew I was losing her, and as I get older, I worry that will happen to me!
Wolf My apologies if I came across as flippant, I didn’t realize that your wife had passed away. My sincere condolences to you and your family and I hope your daughter’s ankle heals quickly and properly.
Terry glad you’re back and I hope on the mend. We were worried!
Wolf I add my belated condolences and add karma to the bank for your daughter’s ankle. I’m glad it is doing well. I had two surgeries on my ankle (one was botched) and it ended up causing major back problems. Not pleasant!
Shika that would not be comfortable!
No Chiro for me, thanks. I’ve had too many problems! I stayed sproinged!
Hi everybody!
Sheesh, lots of prayers and happy going out to all our wolves. :)
Shika, I can sympathize with your friend from church. I was playing football with younger siblings and my dog ran out in front of me and a bit it hard. But I was OK. I got up and kept playing, and I’ll be damned if the stupid dog didn’t run in front of me again. I can’t imagine it felt good to have all 190lbs. of me tripping over him, but he just keeps running in front of me. I guess that makes me the stupid one for not watching where I was going. lol.
Not much. Actually, I have to get to bed now, because 5:00am is going to be on me quick tomorrow, so I will sign off for the night. Good night all, and P&L.
There has got to be something going on here. I have never had a group of people that I know have more illnesses or injuries than I have experienced at gocomics. The percentage is really high.
Shika what would you like? I actually sold Avon in high school! What a trip! I wonder if they still do that anymore, or is it all online? Remember those TV commercials?
Hey Shika, nice to see you back. Skin so soft doesn’t do diddle with mosquitos. Everyone talks about how it repels those pesky biters, but I haven’t noticed it having any effect. The best bug repellent I have found is “Deep Woods Off.”
carmy - I haven’t tried Cutters. Deep Woods Off works so well for me that I do not feel compelled to change. I like that it doesn’t stain clothes, it isn’t sticky and it works. Hmm, maybe they should pay me to do a commercial.
The gimmick I was referring to was a link within the text rather than an actual link or mini-url. It’s something I saw used over on Pibgorn and wanted to try it out. Dreamland Chronicles is computer graphics done by Scott Sava. He’s in Nashville, TN. It’s really top quality art and storytelling. It’s worth a look-see. Go back to the beginning to catch the drift of whats happening.
cleo and Carmy And I’m sure that the pesticide is harmful only to the skeeters. ;-)
I just can’t bring myself to spray deadly pison on my skin. But then, I’ve never been that bother by skeeters, especially at the cottage. The Great Lakes are wonderful for their breezes off the lake which discourages the pests. And they don’t like me anyways.
Another thing happened at my church while I was away. One of our associate priests thought he had indegestion, but his wife disagreed and called an ambulance.
That night he had a triple bypss. Two arteries were 100% blocked, and one artery was 90% blocked. He’s never had heart trouble, and isn’t overweight or anything.
The doctor was amazed he didn’t have a full-blown heart attack by now.
So why all of a sudden is everybody pulling these Shika tricks? “I’m going to bed now, but hey i’m back for one last round!” Come on people!! Rad, you have fallen into the trap!!
I am trying my darndest to get back to normal.(In a physical sense of course!) I really don’t want to be like this and would rather have one less damaged Tribe person for sure!
Great I finally finish dinner and then read through the posts and everyone has gone! Ah well, there’s always tomorrow. Oh right, I won’t be around until late - probably when everyone has left again. Yes, I’m feeling sorry for myself!

My favorite off the wall technique from him was when he offered free screening for allergies. It’s been a few years since I had that done, but basically he waved his hand over me while while going through possible things I could be allergic to. I got a list, and if I ever win the lottery (of course I have to play it), I’ll probably give him some money to see if he can sure all them.

Dry I don’t worry too much about how it happens to me. I know I am in Good Hands and have faith He will take care of me in that last ride.

Hi Guys, Here’s a really great site with great graphics called Dreamland Chronicles plus I get to try out a new gimmik.
johnnydoc5 over 15 years ago
Hi everybody! Sheesh, lots of prayers and happy going out to all our wolves. :) Shika, I can sympathize with your friend from church. I guess that makes me the stupid one for not watching where I was going. lol.
COWBOY7 over 15 years ago
Hey JDoc5 and Rad………Whasuup????

Just browsing before turning in for the night.
johnnydoc5 over 15 years ago
Not much. Actually, I have to get to bed now, because 5:00am is going to be on me quick tomorrow, so I will sign off for the night. Good night all, and P&L.

Hey #1 redskins fan, I saw a post of yours either yesterday or the day before. I was wondering what had happened to you.
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
Hey Dry I have my foot in the door now. would like to order some Avon from me? LOL
Hey RAD! I get the feeling you like new gimmicks? :-)
OUCH! johnny Hope I never run in front of you. I don’t know which one will be more hurt. (I’m short, but a little taller than your dog I think!)LOL
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
Terry-
You’re here, but not all here, ya know what I mean? :-D
Radical-Knight over 15 years ago
Yeah, especially if it works.
cleokaya over 15 years ago
There has got to be something going on here. I have never had a group of people that I know have more illnesses or injuries than I have experienced at gocomics. The percentage is really high.
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
Wow. Is my timing lousy, or what?
Good night johnny!
Good night Rad.
Dry?
Hi #1 Redskin fan. I don’t believe we’ve met. welcome.

Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
Hi cleo! Long time no see! For me, anyways!
Yeah. I hope that we’re not jinxed.
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
You mean the gimmick works RAD?
Dry and Dusty Premium Member over 15 years ago
Shika what would you like? I actually sold Avon in high school! What a trip! I wonder if they still do that anymore, or is it all online? Remember those TV commercials?
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
Gluten what? LOL!
Guten Nacht to you too Radical-Knight! I presume you are taking leave of our senses.

Yes it does. If you saw my earlier post with the blue text, it’s a link.

Hello Everyone!

Dry and Dusty Premium Member over 15 years ago
Hey Rad, and a good night to you as well, but you’re going to bed kind of early aren’t you? You’re 2 hours behind me!
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
Dry #Ding-Dong, Avon Calling. I still know a few Avon ladies here. I used to like there products. I got a lot from them.
carmy LOL I read that too, and I use Skin-so-Soft for a repellant! It works!
cleokaya over 15 years ago
Hey Shika, nice to see you back. Skin so soft doesn’t do diddle with mosquitos. Everyone talks about how it repels those pesky biters, but I haven’t noticed it having any effect. The best bug repellent I have found is “Deep Woods Off.”
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
RAD I saw the site. It’s neat. Who’s Scott, and what gimmick are you refering to? I’m rather dense these days, sorry!
carmy over 15 years ago
cleo, I use Cutter’s to keep the skeeters away from me.
cleokaya over 15 years ago
I wonder how JFri is enjoying his semi - vacation.
cleokaya over 15 years ago
carmy - I haven’t tried Cutters. Deep Woods Off works so well for me that I do not feel compelled to change. I like that it doesn’t stain clothes, it isn’t sticky and it works. Hmm, maybe they should pay me to do a commercial.
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
cleo I see your lovely wife has joined you. Nice leaves. lol
carmy over 15 years ago
I think Cutters had a nicer smell than Off. I know it’s not sticky, but I haven’t noticed if it stains clothes or not.
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
Maybe Canadian mosqitoes are wimpy ones! They read the blog on SSS and run when they catch a whiff! LOL
COWBOY7 over 15 years ago
Good night Rad and JDoc5!!
Dry That’s what I was getting at earlier!! LOL
COWBOY7 over 15 years ago
Dry If I’m all here, than how can I be all there?
Radical-Knight over 15 years ago
The gimmick I was referring to was a link within the text rather than an actual link or mini-url. It’s something I saw used over on Pibgorn and wanted to try it out. Dreamland Chronicles is computer graphics done by Scott Sava. He’s in Nashville, TN. It’s really top quality art and storytelling. It’s worth a look-see. Go back to the beginning to catch the drift of whats happening.
I am going to bed this time. Good night, all.
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
cleo and Carmy And I’m sure that the pesticide is harmful only to the skeeters. ;-)
I just can’t bring myself to spray deadly pison on my skin. But then, I’ve never been that bother by skeeters, especially at the cottage. The Great Lakes are wonderful for their breezes off the lake which discourages the pests. And they don’t like me anyways.
Maybe I smell like Deep Woods to them.
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
Terry- I’m over here. *Shika (me) *said that about you not being all here.
Now I know it’s true. lol
(I understand- you just got back from the hospital Terry.)
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
Thanks Rad, and Guten Nacht!
Next time tell us how you did that.
COWBOY7 over 15 years ago
Hey Carmy and Tabby!!!!!!
You’re right again Shika and I totally agree!
Shikamoo Premium Member over 15 years ago
Another thing happened at my church while I was away. One of our associate priests thought he had indegestion, but his wife disagreed and called an ambulance.
That night he had a triple bypss. Two arteries were 100% blocked, and one artery was 90% blocked. He’s never had heart trouble, and isn’t overweight or anything.
The doctor was amazed he didn’t have a full-blown heart attack by now.
Miracles happen.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member over 15 years ago
So why all of a sudden is everybody pulling these Shika tricks? “I’m going to bed now, but hey i’m back for one last round!” Come on people!! Rad, you have fallen into the trap!!

I am trying my darndest to get back to normal.(In a physical sense of course!) I really don’t want to be like this and would rather have one less damaged Tribe person for sure!
