I’m afraid I must retract the previous mention of “juices”. As it turns out, those were more in the nature of “esters”, which is to say chemically active and volitile substances used primarily in the drug and cosmetic industries. While they had, and to my misfortune still have the flavor of grape and orange, they are not suitable for consumption in their unprocessed, original state. Research continues.

Wifey Bits and I acquired two shelter rescue cats some time ago, “SallyCat” and “Boo Boo Kitty”, and, oddly, neither oft them is vocal in the least. Both were quite shy on arrival, to the extent that we had to take care if one held sway in one’s lap; the least noise would cause them to go tear-assing across the room, leaving torn flesh and blue language behind.

I just lifted Boo Boo Kitty, who has the habit of licking one’s toes if one stands still in front of the refrigerator too long, and brought her with me back to the computer station. She purred.

I realize that in most locales this would not be considered note-worthy. Most cats purr. Boo Boo Kitty, however, has yet to utter a sound excepting this. She is now crawling though my little desk, from shelf to shelf, disorganizing my carefully piled disks and showing rather more bottom than is considered acceptable in polite society.

Life is a series of small victories, I suppose.

LuvH8, it’s a pool league most of the time. Occasionally I enter tournaments. My leagues are Thursday evening and Saturday afternoons, but I don’t play every week. You have eight players, but only five play on a given day. Everybody gets to play about the same number of times for each “season”.

Catch you all later. Have fun Everyone! P&L

Well, looks like I have the honor of first flag on sexymm and her cheap knockoffs.

*Hy* you’ve been very chatty today, makes me sad that today I was out all day.

Luv8 I liked X-Men Origins: Wolverine It sorta made sense as to why Wolverine doesn’t remember much of his past.

Okay, Stormy update: She’s still hanging in there. Noticeably weaker, though. She can’t easily jump up on stuff she could get up to last week. A few times I’ve woke up to find her laying on her side, legs out, breathing slowly. After a few minutes she perks up and usually demands I drop everything and feed her. Mind you, it’s usually about 3am. Overall she seems comfortable and reasonably content, and enjoying the times I can hold her for extended periods of time.

Later I’ll mention the craft fair I was at today with my snowflakes and necklaces.

Dry, yes I did. And I will be trying to get that money back, but I’m not holding my breath. Fortunately, it will not break me if I don’t.

An as much I was once a big Sci-Fi fan, I’m not so much now. Perhaps it’s too much emphasis on special effects and not enough on acting & story telling. But I think I liked “V” better than Alien Nation. I found it very disappointing.

In movies I loved, War of the Worlds & The Day the Earth Stood Still. The Twilight Zone & Original Star Trek were my favorite TV shows.

Carmy, there was the original mini-series, I believe with a follow up. I think they did a television show after that, but the show didn’t last. I think it was too costly for TV as most SCI-FI of that nature is.

Let’s not forget “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”, the remake wasn’t bad either, and the remake of “The Thing” with Kurt Russell was WAY BETTER than the original!

Dry, I will be doing that, but as I said, the loss will not break me. It’s not going to cost me food on the table or anything of that nature.

A lot of people pay good money for contractors etc because they have to and get shafted in the end sometimes.

“Forbidden Planet” was good. I loved “The Thin Man” series and had most of the movies on dvd. I liked “War Of The Worlds” with Gene Berry. that was one of the first movies that really scared me. But no movie ever has scared me as much as “The Haunting Of Hill House.”

The Haunting is the movie you want to see Grog. They remade the movie a few years ago with all of the special effects and did not come near to achieving the fear and anxiety of the original. When I saw it in the theater, during one scene, my entire row dropped beneath the back of the seat in front of them. I think it is a very well done movie. This is a movie from I believe the 1960s.

The movies that creeped me out were the Dracula movies. That’s why I didn’t watch them. I never did like being “creeped out”, so I tried to avoid them. Then there was Dawn of the Dead, which just made me want to up-chuck!
