Yes, and a major one. The right wing is trying to do whatever they can to make the rich even richer at the expense of everyone else. To that end, they tell whatever lies they can to get support for their agenda, as well as smearing those who are telling the truth. A good example of this is the Koch brothers creating some 15 phony scientific organizations claiming to dispute global warming. The progressives, on the other hand, stick with telling the truth to whomever will listen, since you can’t discredit liars if you lie yourself. The reason why it is difficult for some people to tell the difference is because the right wing has fooled enough people into believing them, they have been able to eliminate the neutral middle ground. Anyone who disagrees with them is automatically lumped into their make-believe leftist conspiracy, even if their position is moderate and non-partisan. But in answer to the original question, the media are far worse. I can’t blame a politician running on a welfare for billionaires while letting the unemployed starve to death in a ditch platform. If they think it will help them win, they’re free to do so. But I do blame the media for condoning it.
And that’s why it’s so easy for the media to fool you. He makes a supported, cogent argument, you blow it off as a tirade, and can’t be bothered to even read it. You blissfully swallow whatever stupid sound bites the media feeds you, and accept them as the truth. Unless people wake up and start thinking for themselves again, this country is in danger of falling prey to its own greed and stupidity.
But if you really want a proper culprit to blame, it’s the corporate leaders who own both the media and the politicians. They make the rules and feed it to the rest of us.

At Fox News they are one in the same.
What I hate even more are all of the Talking Heads on CNN, I wish they would get back to reporting on World News to actually educate the American People about what is happening in the world.
My point was that everyone I mentioned are both politicians and media. I was asking if there was a difference between politicians and media, not between the particular people mentioned.

Calm down. That was more tirade than the people you’re blasting. Too long to bother reading anyway.
