Concerning this hound’s name: In his books, Mr. Bliss called him Bailey (although Bailey has checkered spots). In some of the older strips he’s called Baxter, and now he’s Barney. So, which name applies to the dogger we see here regularly?

Our dog will not step foot on our balcony. He’ll come right to the open door and sit there, but that’s as far as he’ll go.
