Basements are always scary.

Nice of the dog to take it so calmly…

Basement wasn’t so bad. All of us kids (8 of us, two families)ended up down there on the huge sleeper sofa most times. It was the boiler room at the far end o the basement that was the issue

It’s gone to the mythical magic land of the Frisbees, good shoes and chew sticks.

Quick! Someone call Indiana Jones.

Never go into the basement.

Awww! It’s certainly dark down there!

One time my dog went down the stairs and ran back up then half way down again…She saw a huge jumping spider on the floor and it even scared her. We had woods all around and once in a while one would “visit”! I went down with a broom to chases it away…it jumped here and there then it was gone! ☹️ GASP!

Time for an expedition!

There is a scene in the SFi movie “Dreamscape” where Dennis Quaid runs down a fabulously crooked staircase into the dark. The special effects in this 50 year old movie are great.

That’s why you buy them a can at a time! Sheesh!

Dogs can see just fine in dim light. I think the dog is protecting his child who is clearly unwilling to go down in his own basement. They will find another toy.

And it’s still hungry….

When they look toward the basement, there is nothing but stares.

Great art with those stairs. In fact I think Mr Bliss is a dam good artist. WHAT ON EARTH AND THE UNIVERSE IS WRONG WITH THE WORD DAM N??? This censorship, needed in some cases, is WAY TOO STRICT, even mindless at times.
