Personally, I don’t see the conundrum here. You can either ignore the dog and let the cat lay undisturbed on your lap now or ….. you can clean up dog pee (and/or poo) off the rug in front of your door 5 minutes from now. Seems like a real no-brainer decision to me! (◔_◔)

Cats can control their mass. When leaping it’s negligible. When sitting on humans its about the same as an object their size made of neutronium.
