I am so bummed I can’t watch Game of Thrones, I had to drop the movie channels except for Encore, which is part of the expanded basic package. Sure I have Netflix, but there’s still the waiting…..gasp….the waiting….but now thanks to this comic I know somewhat of what was happening. Pants dropping, that must mean Tyrone’s back :-)
Will Trump make America great again? If he does will we notice? Will this increase the value of his stock options? Is there going to be a public hanging of “The Donald”? If, “shudder”, Hilary is elected will the government give us a tax break to move off shore so there will be less rioting? To many questions. I just took a strong stand to defend the family by pulling the plug for the TV out of the wall. See you in four years.
I don’t have cable, by choice, and so don’t watch Game of Thrones (except for a few excerpts on YouTube). But from what newspaper columnists keep on writing about it, I am sure it is not a children’s show. Unfortunately, Opus is one of the few who care one way or the other these days….
So glad to see little Sam the Lion out of the hospital. I want him to be more than just the poor cancer kid. Good thing Bill isn’t there or he would be making lewd gestures in front of the cute animal pictures. If Portnoy and Hodge Podge were there, they would be complaining about the permissiveness and bad taste of modern entertainment one moment and then yelling at Opus to stop blocking the TV the next moment. We need this dimension of humor back in Bloom County.
If anyone remembers back to the Opus Sunday strip, Steve Dallas actually had an illegitimate son named Augie who became a major character of that strip. I suspect that Sam will become the Augie in this strip in terms of his relationship with Steve.

I’m sorry, but unless the kids are older, “Game of Thrones” and “Family Viewing” shouldn’t be in the same sentence.

That stuff is all so gratuitous anyway.

Peter Dinklage is a great actor, but I mostly watch Game of Thrones for the theme song.

And look who is out of the hospital! Does this mean we’ll be seeing more of our little Jedi?
