The reason why flying cars do not exist has nothing to do with lack of technology. It’s because of the lack of maturity and intelligence on the part of the general public.
Can you imagine two drivers engaging in road rage (sky rage?) above a residential neighborhood? Or someone running out of fuel in midair because they didn’t feel like filling the tank/recharging the battery? FUI (flying under the influence)? Texting and flying?
I would not want to be on the ground when one of those vehicles came crashing down.
Until the intelligence level can match the level of technology, this mode of transportation will never be approved.
