I have a cat graveyard myself complete with statuary and markers. It is getting way too full. But the setting is nice and the cats are home where they loved to be.
I’ve held, loved and cried over almost all my furry kids as they’ve moved on to the other side. I still miss them so, but I was happy I could find the strength to be with them when it was there time. So sorry for your loss Frank and family.
When my mother’s toy poodle Sugar passed on, we buried her in the backyard. We built a stone fence around her grave and placed white marble chips on top of her grave. My sister in law donated a pet marker. When we moved we removed the fence, marble chips and marker. We covered the area with grass lest anyone should get curious and dig Sugar up.
Absolutely lovely— you’ve handled the passing of all of your fur babies’ so eloquently. Thank you for sharing, for validating the importance of ALL of our “family” members, and for keeping it real, Frank and family… Thinking about the ones we’ve loved and lost.

I’m glad this storyline is winding down. It has been painful.

You did the most kind and loving thing you could think to do. You were there for your Izzy.

Izzy just wanted somebody to be with her at her final moments so she wouldn’t be scared of what was happening to her.

You have to be brave for them! This is a hard thing to do but it’s a final act of love for them.
