I skied for for 5 or 6 years. One day I realized 2 things. 1. I was wasting valuable vacation days in cold places instead of warm places. 2. I was about to turn 40 and had never broken any bones. Why push my luck? I gave my skis to our son.
When I was a freshman in high school the family moved to western Colorado where I quickly learned that if I don’t get on snow skis then trees won’t jump in my way.
….I had much better luck on water skis, but that’s a different story 8^)

After back surgery, my wife went to a place like that. It’s always bothered me that it has the same name as a place for addiction recovery.

Went on a ski trip once in high school. A girl broke her leg. I took that as a sign to stay off of the slopes forever.

Well, the skis made it all the way to rehab, I would have thought they would have stopped at the ER.
